Autism statistics from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) identify around 1 in 68 American children as on the autism spectrum–a ten-fold increase in prevalence in 40 years.
At Autism Speaks, our goal is to change the future for all who struggle with an autism spectrum disorder. Autism Speaks has grown into the world's leading autism science and advocacy organization, dedicated to funding research into the causes, prevention and treatments for autism; increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders; and advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families.
Autism Speaks Walk, the nation's largest grassroots autism walk program, is Autism Speaks' signature fundraising and awareness event, taking place in communities across the United States, as well as in Canada.
We would like to extend the invitation to participate in the 12th annual Autism Speaks Walk in Partnership with the Marcus Autism Center taking place on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at Turner Field – Green Lot for an estimated 15,000 participants.
